How is chronic hepatitis B treated?

Chronic hepatitis B is caused by HBV infection, therefore, antiviral treatment for chronic hepatitis B is the key. In China, due to the influence of traditional medicine, many doctors, including specialists, do not know enough about antiviral therapy, especially worrying about the occurrence of adverse consequences such as drug-resistant mutation of the virus, and do not use antiviral therapy. Clinical surveys show that even in regular hospitals, <20% of patients receive antiviral therapy. The most serious clinical irregularity is the widespread use of so-called liver-protective drugs without antiviral therapy, and the most serious irregularity of antiviral therapy is not the poor mastery of indications, but the premature discontinuation of drugs, blindly changing drugs, etc. Antiviral therapy is not "excessive" but "insufficient".
