Positions to adopt for amoebic dysentery enema

The positions that should be taken for amoebic dysentery enema are: i. The right lateral position should be taken because the most common lesion site of amoebic dysentery is the ileocecal region, and taking the right side position can make the enema operation go smoothly; ii. If the lesion site is in the sigmoid colon or rectum, the left lateral position is needed to make the operation go smoothly; iii. If the patient cannot take the left lateral or right lateral position because of various reasons, he needs to take other positions, such as prone position, etc. Amoebic dysentery enema generally requires the right lateral position, and in rare cases, other positions.
