What is amoebiasis?

Amebiasis refers to a group of diseases caused by amebas in the lysis tissue and other amebic infections, the most important of which are those caused by amebas in the lysis tissue. Depending on the site of the lesion and its clinical manifestations, it can be divided into intestinal amoebiasis and extraintestinal amoebiasis, which is also known as amoebic dysentery, and its complications are most common with amoebic liver abscess. Amebiasis generally starts slowly, with abdominal discomfort, thin stools, sometimes diarrhea four times a day, sometimes constipation, diarrhea with slightly pus and blood-like stools and dysentery-like stools, if the lesion continues to develop, dysentery-like stools can increase to 10-15 times a day or more, accompanied by urgency, and very different from bacterial dysentery, the stools have a fishy smell of corruption.
