How do you determine a close contact?

The criteria for determination include.
Healthcare workers, family members or other persons who have had similar close contact with the case without effective protective measures when treating or caring for a confirmed, clinically diagnosed or suspected case of Middle East Respiratory Syndrome.
Persons who lived, studied, worked or otherwise came into close contact with the case during the period when the confirmed, clinically diagnosed or suspected case was symptomatic.
Persons who, after investigation by the field investigator, are judged to be eligible.
