Is it normal for your period to come back after a week?

Vaginal bleeding that occurs about a week after the patient’s period ends is primarily considered to be ovulatory bleeding. Because the patient’s menstrual period is about 6-7 days, plus one week is about 14 days, which is exactly in the ovulation period. Ovulation bleeding is usually less bleeding, 3-4 days can be clean, and usually no abdominal pain and other discomforts. This is mainly due to the fact that estrogen and progesterone increase during ovulation, but estrogen decreases transiently, causing the endometrium to lose the support of high hormone levels, resulting in a small amount of exfoliative bleeding. Therefore, this condition does not require special treatment when it occurs occasionally, but if it occurs three or more times in a row, the patient needs to do ultrasound or hysteroscopy, cervical screening, to rule out endometrial lesions or cervical cancer and other lesions that cause abnormal uterine bleeding.
