What’s EP?

EP refers to epilepsy, which is short for Epilepsy in English. Epilepsy is not a disease but a group of syndromes, which is a group of syndromes in which a series of clinical symptoms occur due to abnormal synchronized neuronal discharges occurring in the brain. The most common clinical symptoms are sudden loss of consciousness, generalized convulsions, rolling of the eyes, urinary incontinence, bruising of the lips and mouth, lasting 1-2 minutes. This manifestation is a generalized tonic clonic seizure, which is the most common type of epilepsy. There are many other types, such as partial seizures, which are divided into simple partial seizures, complex partial seizures, generalized seizures, and also include tonic seizures, clonic seizures, and catatonic seizures. The treatment of epilepsy involves choosing different medications depending on the form of the seizure, and adhering to a long course of regular medication.
