Conservative treatment of ectopic pregnancy kills the embryo can be expelled naturally

Conservative treatment of ectopic pregnancy involves the use of drugs to cause necrosis, shedding and absorption of embryonic tissue, not natural expulsion. Conservative treatment of ectopic pregnancy is mainly applicable to patients with stable tubal pregnancy and those with persistent ectopic pregnancy after conservative surgery. Commonly used drugs are methotrexate (MTX), the treatment mechanism is to inhibit the proliferation of trophoblast cells, destroy the chorionic villi, so that the embryonic tissues are necrotic, detached and absorbed. Application of drug treatment, may not be successful in every case, so should be in the MTX treatment period, the application of ultrasound and blood hCG for close monitoring, and pay attention to changes in the condition and adverse drug reactions. If the blood hCG decreases and is negative for 3 times in a row in 14 days after the use of the drug, the abdominal pain is relieved or disappears, and the vaginal bleeding decreases or stops, it is regarded as a significant effect. If the condition does not improve, or even acute abdominal pain or tubal rupture symptoms occur, then immediate surgical treatment should be carried out.
