Adult chalazion can be treated by general treatment, medication and surgery. 1. General treatment: For small and asymptomatic adult chalazion in early stage, hot towel can be used to apply local hot compress and gentle massage to promote its absorption. The temperature of the hot compress should be kept at about 40℃, and the compress should be applied 3 to 4 times a day, each time for 10 to 15 minutes. 2. Medication: For medication, glucocorticoids, such as prednisone, can be injected into the cyst to promote the absorption of secretions. 3. Surgery: If adult chalazion is large and has affected vision and appearance, surgery can be considered to remove the cyst that cannot be absorbed by itself. Adult chalazion is recommended to go to the hospital in time, do not use medication on your own, so as to avoid improper use of medication and delay the condition.
