Occult nephritis is also considered nephritis, which is a kind of glomerulonephritis that is not very serious. Occult nephritis, also known as asymptomatic hematuria or asymptomatic proteinuria, generally refers to a group of glomerular diseases in which abnormalities are detected in the physical examination or in the urine routine examination under accidental circumstances, and the patients are not accompanied by edema, hypertension, and renal function impairment. Cryptoglomerulonephritis clinically manifests as asymptomatic hematuria or asymptomatic proteinuria, or both, but with one manifestation more prominent. It is a group of primary glomerular diseases with different etiology, pathogenesis, and pathological types, similar clinical manifestations, and different prognoses. There is no special treatment for cryptoglomerulonephritis, which is mainly based on long-term follow-up observation, prevention and treatment of some disease aggravating factors, reduction of proteinuria and avoidance of nephrotoxic drugs as the main treatment principle.
