How to treat cryptococcal pneumonia

Cryptococcal pneumonia is a subacute or chronic deep fungal disease caused by a new type of cryptococcus, which mainly invades the central nervous system and the lungs, and often occurs in patients with immunocompromised function such as malignant tumors or chemotherapy or the application of high-dose hormones. The treatment of cryptococcus is divided into the following two aspects: First, drug treatment, can be based on the different immune function status of cryptococcal pneumonia patients, and the use of different drugs. The preferred drug is amphotericin B, recommended to be combined with flucytosine and other antifungal drugs, and other antifungal drugs can be applied fluconazole. Second, surgical treatment is limited to limited lesions, such as granulomatous lesions, abscesses, cavities and other lesions in the skin, chest or lungs, which can be surgically and locally excised if they have not invaded the central nervous system.
