Most hemangiomas that appear on the eyelids of newborns are usually capillary hemangiomas, which can usually subside if they are relatively small or have mild symptoms. They can stop growing and recede in about a year. For example, if the tumor is small, local excision or liquid nitrogen freezing with laser can be used with good results. If the tumor is still enlarged, we can take some radiation dressing and X-ray irradiation to make local capillary embolism, and the tumor can gradually shrink, so as to achieve the length of complete cure and remission. If the growth of individual neonatal hemangioma is obvious, some corticosteroid hormones such as prednisone can be taken orally at the same time, which can inhibit the growth of hemangioma. Therefore, newborns with hemangiomas on the eyelids must go to a regular vascular surgery department for detailed diagnosis and treatment.
