Do not add 0.5°C for temperature measurement in the armpits. The three commonly used locations for temperature measurement are, from top to bottom, the mouth, the armpits and the rectum. From the point of view of cleanliness, hygiene and safety, the armpit is the most commonly used location for temperature measurement. Before measuring the temperature in the armpits, choose to monitor the temperature in the early morning, awake, fasting, resting state, and take a towel to fully wipe the sweat in the armpits before measuring the temperature, so as not to affect the thermometer due to the evaporation of sweat. The thermometer should be in contact with the armpits for more than 10 minutes, so that the heat is fully exchanged between the body and the thermometer, and the temperature is relatively accurate. Normal armpit temperature is around 36.0-37.3℃, without adding another 0.5℃. If the oral and rectal temperatures are high, another 0.5℃ needs to be added.
