Early Stomach Cancer Markers

Early markers of gastric cancer include CEA, CA19-9, CA72-4. 1. CEA is carcinoembryonic antigen, belongs to a kind of glycoprotein, the normal range value is less than 5ng/ml, which is widely used as a marker for digestive tract tumors in clinic, and the carcinoembryonic antigen is elevated in patients with early gastric cancer, CEA can also assess the effect of treatment of gastric cancer and recurrence, and if gastric cancer rises again after the decrease of CEA after treatment, it often suggests that the tumor has the possibility of recurrence. 2. CA19-9, i.e. Glycoantigen 19-9, the upper limit of normal range is 37kU/L, and generally the normal people will be less than 37kU/L. Most gastric cancer patients have significantly elevated CA19-9. 3. CA72-4, i.e. glycan antigen 72-4, the normal range value is 6kU/L, and 40% of gastric cancer patients have elevated cancer antigen 72-4. However, its sensitivity is not strong, and it is usually combined with carcinoembryonic antigen for diagnosis. Therefore, if the above markers are found to be elevated, it is necessary to actively cooperate with doctors to clarify the cause of the disease and treat it as early as possible.
