Thyroid nodules found on physical examination usually need to improve the thyroid function test, need to consider whether the thyroid nodules are combined with hyperthyroidism or hypothyroidism. If the thyroid gland is combined with hyperthyroidism or hypothyroidism, you need to do relevant treatment for hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism. If the thyroid function is normal, you only need to deal with the thyroid nodule alone, and most of the patients with thyroid nodules have normal thyroid function. Most patients with thyroid nodules have normal thyroid function. Thyroid nodules should be evaluated according to the description of the nodule on ultrasound, including the morphology of the nodule, whether it grows in an upright shape, whether there is any calcification, and whether there is abundant blood signal to determine the benignness or malignancy of the nodule. Benign nodules only need to be observed, unless particularly large benign nodules have localized pressure symptoms and require surgical treatment, for the ultrasound highly suspicious of malignant thyroid nodules, further fine needle aspiration or direct surgical treatment is required.
