“Quick-acting” skin care products are destroying your skin

At present, the “quick effect” has become a lot of skin care products to attract consumers, a number of spot, whitening, anti-aging cosmetics claim “3 days to see results” or “8 hours to smooth the fine lines” and so on. They also have very attractive names, such as “a wipe of white”, “spot removal spirit” and so on. Some women who love beauty and are suffering from freckles and wrinkles are buying them like they have seen a savior. What do you think of these quick-acting cosmetics that claim to have immediate effects? I have always believed that, except for love, things that come too quickly are often bad. The same goes for cosmetics and beauty, quick results mean quick ruin! Quick-acting skin care products often contain hormones, and the frequent use of cosmetics containing hormones can lead to “hormonal beauty syndrome”, and even serious skin reactions, which can lead to capillary dilation, atrophy, and even hirsutism, dermatitis and other symptoms. At the same time, hormone topical application may also cause changes in the body’s hormone levels, resulting in endocrine disorders. “I wanted to smear cosmetics to get rid of spots, but it made my face fancy, so I didn’t dare to go out.” One day, in the dermatology clinic of our hospital, a 28-year-old woman came in, screaming for help. She told the doctor that she had a few freckles on her white face. A few months ago she went to a cosmetic store and bought a box of freckle cream, and just a few days after applying it, the freckles became lighter, but as soon as she stopped using it, her skin became dry and uncomfortable, so she had to “reapply” it again and again. Until recently, the area where she often applied the spot cream became dull and dark, contrasting with the skin of the neighboring areas, turning into a big flower face. We are not surprised to see such patients, and we receive a dozen of them every month on average. We took a closer look at her blemish cream and told her that the blemish cream she was using might contain glucocorticoids. This substance is more common in some blemish removal and whitening cosmetics. It works very quickly and effectively, and the skin becomes tender and white, but long-term use will cause hormone dependent dermatitis. The lady was dumbfounded, she really didn’t expect that this bottle of seemingly good blemish cream, which was boasted by the lady selling cosmetics, was a disfiguring product! In fact, cosmetic beauty and disfigurement is sometimes just a step away, the amount of additives exceeds the safety threshold, it becomes disfiguring products, in the safe range, it is safe to use beauty products. Besides, the Ministry of Health has long decreed that cosmetics should not add hormonal substances, but blemish and whitening cosmetics are still secretly added. Some beauty salons even use cosmetics of mysterious origin and unknown ingredients for their customers to pursue “quick results”. So I have to remind women again: cosmetics that work too fast are probably “skin opiates” and should not be consumed. Beware of cosmetics that make you dependent: Cosmetics pick people, and what works for this person may not work for others. Therefore, it is inevitable that someone can only use a certain product. But then you have to distinguish whether the product “conquered” you because of its comfort, or you are dependent on its effectiveness, not to use it? If the latter is the case, you should not be careless, because a qualified cosmetic product should not make your skin dependent. Experts remind us that any cosmetic product that has an obvious effect after use but fails instantly without use, or even makes the skin worse, may be dependent and should not be used.
