Recovery from stroke and its aftermath

  Stroke is the collective term for acute cerebrovascular disease in Chinese medicine. The main symptom is sudden fainting, unconsciousness, and hemiplegia accompanied by slanting of the mouth and unfavorable speech. The age of onset of the disease tends to be younger, and 70% of the cases have sequelae. Therefore, formal rehabilitation treatment is crucial, and acupuncture therapy with Chinese and Western medicine, rehabilitation training, physiotherapy, Chinese medicine fumigation and other methods can be used.  For patients with stable disease who cannot move actively, passive movement should be carried out as early as possible, so that each joint of the affected limb can be flexed, extended, rotated and other movements, ranging from small to large, step by step training.  (1) Let the patient practice turning around in bed, sitting up from the healthy side or the affected side, first let the patient sit with his back against the object, and gradually transition to sitting independently.  (2) After the patient can sit independently, start the standing training, first let the patient stand against the wall, then transition to stand independently, after being able to stand alone, let the patient gradually shift the weight to the affected leg, and train the weight-bearing ability of the affected leg. Then practice alternate forward and backward steps with both legs and shift of weight. When the patient can step forward, start walking training.  (3) In addition to the above exercise, you can gradually increase the training of daily living ability, such as eating, personal hygiene, dressing, bathing, doing housework, etc.  Acupressure: shoulder k, Quchi, Waiguan, Hegu, Sanyinjiao, Yanglingquan, Feet Sanli, etc. Language function: 1. You can give the patient a mirror and let him look at other people’s mouth shape and correct it at any time.  2.Exercise training of articulation organs, such as lip and tongue movement and soft jaw elevation.  3. Acupuncture point massage: dumb door, Fengfu, Lianquan, Futu, Lijiu, etc. 3. Swallowing training: 1. When feeding, put the food on the healthy side of the tongue.  2.Food should be uniform in density, mainly in paste form, such as: steamed egg, rice paste, lotus root powder, etc.  3, lip, tongue, cheek and other muscle movement training, using finger snap, ice cotton stick stimulation, tongue depressor pressure and other methods to stimulate the above swallowing muscle groups, and empty swallowing, breath-holding training.  4.Acupoint massage: Fengchi, Cataract, Lianquan, Tiantu, Shimonoseki, Renying, etc. Tip: The above functional training and acupoint massage should be carried out under the guidance of a doctor, and the movements should be gentle and gradual.
