Causes of narrow pelvis

Narrow pelvis in women is related to various factors, specifically the following reasons: First, due to congenital developmental abnormalities, resulting in a small or deformed pelvis, making the pelvis narrow; Second, women in pregnancy, full of nutrition, fat, fetal development, resulting in a relatively narrow pelvis; Third, trauma, can also lead to a narrowing of the pelvis, deformed situation occurs. Therefore, when a woman is evaluated by a doctor in late pregnancy, if there is an absolute pelvic stenosis, a cesarean section should be given in time to terminate the pregnancy. In the case of relative pelvic stenosis, if the fetus is evaluated to be small, the labor is progressing well, and the fetal heartbeat is good, a trial of labor can be performed vaginally. In case of abnormalities, such as rapid fetal heart rate, resulting in fetal distress and slow or no progress of labor, cesarean section may be used to terminate the pregnancy to avoid serious risk to fetal life.
