The right time to press the Zhigou acupoint

There is no standardized time for pressing the Zhigou acupoint, so if you need to use the Zhigou acupoint to treat a disease, you can press the Zhigou acupoint at the right time according to your own situation. Zhigou point, belonging to the hand Shaoyang Sanjiao meridian, is located in the back area of the forearm, 3 inches above the transverse stripe on the dorsal side of the distal wrist, at the midpoint of the gap between the ulna and the radius. It is mainly used for the treatment of deafness, tinnitus, violent mute (sudden loss of voice), coercive and rib pain, constipation, scrofula (mainly refers to cervical lymph node tuberculosis), and febrile diseases. In modern times, it is often used to treat habitual constipation, intercostal neuralgia, shoulder and arm pain, angina pectoris, myocarditis, pleurisy, pneumonia, insufficient milk secretion, tannin (an acute infectious disease in which the skin can be seen to be reddened as if it has been coated with pigment), paralysis of the upper limbs, acute paralysis of the glabellar muscles, vomiting, and post-partum hematemesis. Note that if needling of the Zhigou point is required, it needs to be done by a specialized doctor.
