How to take progesterone

Progesterone orally can be used for some disorders of irregular menstruation and for the treatment of preeclampsia, and progesterone is taken differently for different disorders. If a woman has irregular menstruation and ultrasound suggests thickening of the endometrium, she can be given progesterone 100mg 2x/day for 5-7 days. Usually, withdrawal bleeding, which is the onset of menstruation, occurs 3-7 days after the medication is stopped. In case of progesterone for birth control, depending on the value of the progesterone test, oral progesterone can be given, in which case some all-natural progesterone, such as progesterone capsules, or micronized progesterone orally should be given. If you are taking progesterone capsules, 100mg of progesterone capsules, 2x/day for 7 days, review the progesterone again, and based on the results of the progesterone test, decide the next dose of progesterone to take.
