When is the first stage of labor?

The first stage of labor is the process of complete opening of the uterine opening before the official delivery.
Before the official delivery, there will be contractions and this stage requires the pregnant woman’s uterine opening to be fully open, this is the first stage of labor, which can also be referred to as the cervical dilatation stage.
Usually, the first stage of labor takes 11-12 hours for a first-time mother and 6-8 hours for a woman who has already given birth, depending on the woman’s condition. During the first stage of labor, pregnant women usually show symptoms such as labor pains and amniotic fluid flow.
If a pregnant woman experiences abdominal pain, bleeding, or amniotic fluid flow, it usually means that the fetus is about to be born, and she should go to the hospital in time and regulate the delivery under the doctor’s guidance.
