Can I take loratadine if I’ve been drinking?

Loratadine should not be taken after drinking alcohol. If you drink alcohol and then take it, it may aggravate the suppression of the central nervous system and cause severe dizziness, weakness, drowsiness and other adverse reactions. Loratadine belongs to the third generation of antihistamines, which are commonly known as anti-allergy drugs, mainly to relieve symptoms such as nasal congestion, runny nose, sneezing and itchy eyes caused by allergic rhinitis. It can also be used to treat skin allergic diseases such as hives, atopic dermatitis, eczema, and itchy skin. However, it should be noted that the use of other drugs with central depressant properties, such as sedative and hypnotic drugs, is not recommended during the use of loratadine. It is advisable to use loratadine at night before going to bed, because adverse reactions such as dizziness, weakness and drowsiness may occur during the use of loratadine.
