If the colon is benign, the mass will appear on CT as a relatively regular mass with clear borders, and will not invade the surrounding organs, and the local lymph nodes will not be enlarged. If the mass is malignant, it is often irregular in shape and the boundary is not very clear on CT. However, in order to finally diagnose whether the colon occupancy is benign or malignant, we need to do an electronic colonoscopy, through which we can take the tissue of the occupancy and send it to the pathology department for laboratory tests, in order to finally confirm the benignity or malignancy of the occupancy, and only after determining the benignity or malignancy can we formulate the corresponding treatment plan.
