Is it leukemia if a child keeps falling down when walking?

Children who walk and fall all the time are usually not suffering from leukemia and can be examined to determine the exact cause. There are many reasons why a child may fall when walking. First, motor neurological deficits can lead to unstable walking and falls. Second, if a child is a toddler, it is normal for him or her to become unstable within a week of age. In addition, some children have a lack of calcium due to malnutrition, which can lead to poor bone development and a tendency to fall when walking. In addition, if the child has a cerebellar disorder and poor coordination, this may also occur and a detailed neurological examination is needed to clarify the diagnosis. The mere presence of walking and always falling is usually not diagnostic of leukemia. Therefore, children who walk and fall frequently can go to the pediatric department of the hospital to have their trace elements checked and to have an X-ray examination to clarify whether the bone development is normal. If leukemia is suspected, bone marrow aspiration and immunophenotyping can be performed.
