The severity of pneumonia is not clearly related to fever, and the absence of fever does not mean that pneumonia is good or bad.
Fever is one of the main symptoms of pneumonia, caused by pathogenic bacteria or their virulence products into the blood, i.e., the pyrogen affects the thermoregulatory center and causes fever. However, there is no definite connection, mild patients can be feverish and have a normal temperature when the pyrogen enters the bloodstream. In severe cases, there is no fever, and even hypothermia due to severe infectious shock and lack of peripheral circulation.
Pneumonia is also common symptoms of coughing, coughing up sputum, chest pain, and the severity of the disease are not related, only shortness of breath or even dyspnea suggests that the lesion is heavy, the scope is wider, affecting the function of the lung ventilation.
Therefore, pneumonia without fever is not necessarily good, and pneumonia with fever symptoms is not necessarily serious, and should be evaluated in combination with other symptoms, lung CT performance and blood oxygenation. It is recommended that patients with pneumonia actively seek medical treatment, and early treatment will help recovery.
