What are the early symptoms of rectal cancer?



Early symptoms of rectal cancer are not obvious, and late symptoms include symptoms of intestinal irritation, symptoms of infection and rupture, symptoms of chronic low intestinal obstruction, symptoms of local invasion of mass and distant metastasis.

Early manifestation of rectal cancer is usually not obvious, and most patients are already in the middle or late stage of the disease when they are in discomfort.

1. Intestinal irritation symptoms: change of defecation habit, increased frequency of defecation or constipation.

2. Symptoms of infection and ulceration: change of bowel movement, blood or mucous blood stool, pus and blood stool, feeling of uncleanness after defecation, thinning of feces, and grooves in the stool.

3. Chronic low intestinal obstruction symptoms: abdominal pain, abdominal distension and other manifestations.

4. Symptoms of local invasion and distant metastasis of the mass: severe pain in the rectum or sacral region, radiating to the lower abdomen, waist and lower limbs. When metastasized to the bladder, the manifestation of frequent urination and painful urination can appear. When metastasized to the liver, there will be abdominal fluid, jaundice, liver size and other manifestations.

When patients have the above symptoms, they should go to the hospital as soon as possible for prompt treatment.
