Signs and manifestations of improvement in interstitial pneumonia are usually improvement in clinical symptoms and normalization of test results. The patient may show a reduction of cough, improvement of chest tightness and shortness of breath, reduction of fever, normalization of blood counts, normalization of oxygenation index, and so on. When interstitial pneumonia improves, the patient’s organism has reduced symptoms of infection, such as improvement of mental status, return of body temperature to normal, reduction of cough, reduction of sputum, relief of chest tightness and shortness of breath, and improvement of hypoxic symptoms such as cyanosis and shortness of breath. In addition to this, the examination results show that the oxygenation index of blood gas analysis is increased or returned to normal, and the white blood cell count is normal. However, the improvement of clinical manifestations does not mean that the disease has improved, but rather there is a trend toward improvement. At this point, it is still necessary to closely observe the patient’s condition changes and be prepared for active treatment.
