Difference between osteopontinol gel pills and osteopontinol softgels

Osteotriol is 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D3, which is a fully activated form of vitamin D3 and can be used directly by the body without conversion, while osteotriol is 1α-hydroxyvitamin D3, which needs to be converted to 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D3, or osteotriol, in the liver before it can be used by the body. Both drugs can be used to treat various diseases caused by vitamin D3 deficiency, such as osteoporosis, and there is no difference in the therapeutic effect of the two drugs for patients with normal liver and kidney function. Patients with impaired liver function or both liver and kidney function should choose osteopontinol for vitamin D supplementation, while patients with only impaired kidney function can choose alfa osteopontinol.
