Basic knowledge of facial aesthetics – ear aesthetics

The ears are located on the left and right sides of the skull, with the upper end flush with the level of the eyebrows and the lower part flush with the level of the base of the nose. According to Asian appearance, a healthy and normal earring should meet the following data standards: the long axis of the earring (i.e. the line between the highest point of the earwheel and the lowest point of the earlobe) is about 13° from the nasal sagittal angle, and the length of the earring is about 65mm; below 60mm is a small ear, below 55mm is a serious small ear deformity, and above 70mm is a large ear deformity. The width of the earring is 31-34mm for men and 29-33mm for women, and the depth of the earring is about 15mm; the earring is at an angle of 30° to the lateral wall of the skull, and the earring is at an angle of 90° to the lateral wall of the skull. The ear nail is also at an angle of 90° to the circumference of the ear. The length of the earlobe is generally about 16mm. The shape of the earlobe varies greatly, and a few people even have no earlobe. The shape of the earlobe can be roughly divided into round, flat and triangular, and the degree of attachment to the facial skin can be completely free, partially adherent or even completely adherent. As long as it does not interfere with the wearing of earrings, it can be considered normal. Not only does the ear shape vary from person to person, but it also varies from person to person. There are always differences in the skin pattern, the curvature of the ear chakra and the opposite ear chakra, the depth of the ear nail and the shape of the earlobe. Mild differences are not noticeable because it is not possible to look at both ears in comparison. Types of otoplasty: ear reconstruction for small ear deformities, ear attachment orthoplasty, ear pinna orthoplasty, cup-shaped ear orthoplasty, hidden ear orthoplasty, ape ear orthoplasty, earlobe deformity orthoplasty, etc.
