Significance of the four liver fiber tests

Liver fibrosis test is mainly a blood test, the results of which can reflect the degree of fibrosis in the liver, but the simple elevation of one or two tests does not absolutely indicate that the liver has cirrhosis or the possibility of liver fibrosis. At this time, patients should be further tested for liver stiffness to see the degree of liver fibrosis and whether the patient has fatty liver. For patients with chronic viral hepatitis B, or patients who have been drinking alcohol and taking medication for a long time, it will further induce the possibility of cirrhosis and liver fibrosis. Therefore, for patients with the above triggers, they should have regular review of the ultrasound of the upper abdomen, liver function and blood test for liver fiber four items if necessary. If two or more of the four liver fiber tests are positive and the value is high, the patient should actively undergo ultrasound examination of the upper abdomen and liver hardness test, and if necessary, the patient should consider undergoing ultrasound-guided liver puncture biopsy. After liver puncture biopsy, it can diagnose whether the patient has cirrhosis and the degree of cirrhosis.
