Cancer pain is related to somatic factors, psychosocial factors, perception of pain, emotions and beliefs, situations, feelings, attention, personality, expectations of pain, and sociocultural factors. In Chinese medicine, cancer pain has been recorded for a long time. Cancer pain is often found in the symptoms of Y, accumulation, tumor, stone, breast rock, gangrene, choking, regurgitation, dirty poison and other diseases caused by the failure of qi and blood. External treatment of cancer pain can often achieve good results. It is an important part of traditional Chinese medicine, which mainly uses drugs absorbed directly through skin, mucous membrane, acupuncture points, orifices, etc., and conducts through meridians to stimulate the qi of meridians, unblock meridians, harmonize qi and blood, promote the normal operation of qi and blood of internal organs, thus coordinating the functions of internal organs of human body, and play the role of overall and local analgesia. In recent years, it has been widely used in the field of pain relief for cancer pain and has shown better results. Compared with the internal treatment method, the external treatment method has many advantages: for example, the external treatment method is to apply drugs to the affected part or meridians or acupuncture points, so that the effect of drugs can be direct, concentrated and lasting. Commonly used drugs are rhubarb, half-branch lotus, fleabane, yellow medicinal seeds, mountain cichlid mushroom, Chuanwu, five lingzhi, Yuanhu, etc. Compressing method The compressing method is to make the drug penetrate into the couples from the mucous membrane of the skin, pass through the meridians and activate the channels, and reach the disease directly, either by lifting the evil out, or by attacking and dispersing it. Through the stimulation of the drug itself and additional methods, it can directly unblock the meridians, strengthen the flow of qi and blood, and bring into play the resistance of tissues and organs to evil. In the “Treatise on the Sources of Medicine”, it is said that “to make the medicine enter the couples from the pores and pass through the meridians and channels, which is more powerful than taking medicine, is also the most wonderful method.” This method is the most commonly used method in clinical practice, which is usually to grind the drug into a fine powder, add an appropriate amount of base, and mix it with wine, vinegar, turpentine, egg white, honey, pig bile or water to make a paste or cream for external application. Most of the prescriptions are based on blood circulation and blood stasis, warming menstruation and dispersing cold, promoting qi and relieving pain, with the addition of anti-cancer drugs, and supplemented with aromatic, warm, pungent, and tractor inducing drugs. The method of applying rubbing is a method of treating cancer pain by soaking the drug in appropriate solvent and then applying the liquid to the painful area. The method of rubbing was first described in Su Wen? The treatment is based on massage and mash medicine.” Mash medicine is a medicinal wine applied with massage, which can be applied directly to the painful area or applied after hot compress and fumigation. This method is simple to produce, easy to use, rapid action, and can be repeatedly used for many times. It is easy to be accepted by patients because of the good effect of pain relief. Enema method Patients empty the second stool, lie on their side, insert the disposable catheter into the anus more than 7 cm, then inject 100ml~200ml of medicine at about 40℃ by 50ml syringe, pull out the catheter, but patients should not sit up or stand up immediately to avoid the outflow of medicine, and it is better to keep the treatment for more than 30 minutes. Nasal inhalation method refers to the method that volatile drugs are inhaled through the nose, absorbed by the nasal mucosa and respiratory system, and enter into the patient’s blood circulation to achieve the purpose of local or systemic treatment, which is to grind the drugs into fine powder or dissolve them in solvent and take a little of them into the nose for inhalation 3-5 times a day. It is commonly used for nasopharyngeal cancer pain and cerebral tumor pain, such as Angelica dahurica, Ligusticum ligusticum, Rhizoma Chuanxiong, Saxifrage, Guati, Bingqi, Musk and other pungent and scurrying products. Fumigation method Fumigation therapy is based on the principle of Chinese medicine diagnosis and treatment, and certain Chinese medicines are selected and made into aqueous solution for fumigation while it is hot. It has the functions of opening the peripheral capillary network, improving microcirculation, opening the blood vessels, activating blood circulation, removing blood stasis, generating sweat and water, and detoxifying the body, which can make a large amount of pain-causing substances discharged from the body and achieve the purpose of pain relief. The method of hot compress and fumigation is described in “The Secret Recipe for the Continuation of Immortal Wounds”, which is to put the drug in a pot or basin and boil it with water and then fumigate the affected area, first fumigate the affected area with heat, and then dip the affected area with the medicinal water after the water temperature has slightly decreased. When fumigation therapy or water bath fumigation, blood circulation is accelerated, pressure in blood vessels is increased, blood vessels are easy to rupture, and a large amount of fluid is discharged with sweat, so there is a tendency of bleeding, poor general condition, less food, serious organ insufficiency such as heart, liver, lung and kidney, and women during menstruation should be contraindicated for this therapy.
