Academic Report 2014.10: Neurology & Neuroscience Translational Medicine Forum

On 2014-10-22, “Bench to Bedsides – Neurology & Neuroscience” was held at the Department of Neurology, China-Japan Friendship Hospital, with Prof. Worrell from Mayo Hospital, Dr. Ren Liankun, Deputy Chief Physician of Neurology, China-Japan Friendship Hospital, Researcher Wang Liang from Institute of Psychology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (Young Thousand Talents Program), and Dr. Meng Fanggang, Chief Physician of Neurosurgery, Tiantan Hospital. Dr. Meng Fanggang, Chief Physician of Neurosurgery Department, Tiantan Hospital, to discuss the research progress and clinical application of brain electrophysiology and brain function in epilepsy.       In recent years, the fields of neuroscience and neurology have all seen rapid development, and present a disease-centered translational medicine model that rapidly and effectively applies scientific research results to clinical practice through synergistic cooperation between basic research and clinical diagnosis and treatment, especially, in the field of brain electrophysiology and related diseases, which has greatly improved the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. China-Japan Friendship Hospital has done in-depth and solid work in the treatment of epilepsy, especially in recent years dedicated to the preoperative evaluation of refractory epilepsy. We seek to build a bridge between neuroscience and neurology and to establish a platform for high-end academic exchange between neurology and neuroscience in China.
