Can you feel the pain of having to keep gauze on a hole in your wound?

It may feel painful to keep gauze in a wound with a hole in it. Gauze is stuffed all the time into a wound with a hole, usually for drainage of pus and other fluids. Due to the abundance of nerve endings on the surface of the body, stuffing gauze all the way inside the wound can irritate or compress the nerve endings around the wound, which can be felt as a painful condition. When stuffing gauze into the wound, it is necessary to first observe the inside of the wound to determine whether there is any pus cavity formation and to disinfect the surrounding skin. Treatment such as debridement, if necessary, may also be given levofloxacin hydrochloride, cefazolin sodium and other drugs anti-infection treatment. During the wound recovery period, attention should be paid to the daily diet, spicy and stimulating food to eat less, keep the wound surface clean and dry, to prevent local infections from aggravating, abnormal pain and so on. If there are obvious symptoms of swelling and pain or other discomforts at the wound, consult a doctor in time to identify the cause of the disease, and actively diagnose and treat the wound to avoid delaying the condition.
