Reconstruction of nose deformity after cleft lip (harelip) surgery

After cleft lip (commonly known as harelip) repair, nasal deformities of different degrees will appear as the patient grows older, with common manifestations such as abnormal nasal cartilage position on the affected side, shortened nasal bridge, wide nasal base, two nostrils of different sizes, flattened nostrils on the affected side, and nasal collapse protrusion, which again bring physical and mental pain to the patient. It is very difficult to repair such a nasal deformity, which is one of the most challenging jobs in rhinoplasty, so how to repair nasal deformity after cleft lip surgery? We use autologous cartilage grafting to reconstruct three-dimensional cartilage scaffolding, while repairing the collapse of the edge of the pear-shaped hole, shaping both sides of the nostril symmetrically, and restoring a beautiful and straight curve and a three-dimensional sense of the nose, our experience has been in India, the International Plastic and Reconstructive Conference, the Sino-Japanese Plastic and Reconstructive Conference and the National Plastic Surgery Conference to speak, and received the unanimous praise of experts at home and abroad, reaching the international advanced level. Before and after surgery, the nostrils are more symmetrical. Before and after surgery, the nasal dorsum and tip are elevated and the tip is upturned.
