How to read diabetes lab results

The laboratory results of diabetes include three main items: First, fasting or 2h postprandial blood glucose, if fasting blood glucose >7mmol/L or OGTT2h blood glucose >11.1mmol/L, the diagnosis of diabetes is reached, and diabetes can be diagnosed clinically. Second, glycated hemoglobin, this index is a response to the average level of blood sugar control of the patient in the past 2-3 months, if glycated hemoglobin is higher than the normal range, it indicates that the average blood sugar level in the past 2-3 months is high. Third, urinalysis, need to pay attention to urine sugar, urine protein, urine ketone body and whether there is infection.
