The main ingredients of San Huang Tablet are rhubarb, berberine hydrochloride and scutellaria baicalensis extract. It has the efficacy of clearing heat and removing toxins, diarrhea and laxative, and is used for eye redness and swelling and pain, mouth and nose sores, sore throat, swollen gums and pain, heartburn and thirst, urine and yellow constipation due to San Jiao heatiness (chest and abdomen with heavier heat evil). Occasionally, adverse reactions of nausea, vomiting, skin rash and medicinal fever may occur and disappear after stopping the medicine.
Sanhuang Tablet is contraindicated in pregnant women, and in patients with hemolytic anemia and glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency.
