Appendicitis hurts more when you move in bed, usually because of irritation of the peritoneum during activity. Prompt treatment is recommended.
Abdominal pain is the main clinical symptom of appendicitis, usually within 6 hours from the epigastric pain gradually shifted to the right lower abdomen in the appendix region, the presence of pressure, rebound pain signs. The diagnosis of appendicitis is based on a combination of symptoms, physical examination, blood tests, and ultrasound of the appendix.
Appendicitis may be painfully insignificant when quiet and can be made worse by irritation of the peritoneum during activity. The relative position of the appendix in the abdominal cavity can also change during activity, causing the pain to become more pronounced when the peritoneum is irritated by inflammation.
Patients with appendicitis are advised to consult the general surgery department of the regular hospital for prompt management and aggressive surgical treatment is recommended.
