What does one-half of the rectum indicate

Rectal occupancy indicates the presence of a neoplastic mass in the rectal wall. Possible causes are rectal polyps, tumors, and rectal abscesses. 1. Rectal tumor (1) Rectal polyp: Rectal tumors are benign rectal polyps, which may be stimulated by various factors, resulting in proliferation of rectal mucosal cells, which may be raised in the rectum and result in rectal occupation. Surgical resection is usually sufficient. (2) Malignant tumors such as rectal cancer: progressive enlargement of the tumor can lead to narrowing of the intestinal lumen, resulting in rectal space. If it is clear that it is rectal cancer, it needs to be treated according to the extent of tumor invasion. 2. Rectal abscess: it is mostly due to the spread of inflammatory infection such as anal sinusitis to the perirectal space, so that the perirectal space becomes infected and forms abscess. Abscesses occupy the space of the intestinal cavity, leading to deformation or narrowing of the rectal cavity, which can then be manifested as rectal occupation. If there is a rectal occupation of 1/2 of the situation, it indicates that the lesion scope is large, the condition is serious, need to consult a doctor in time, for detailed examination and treatment, to avoid delaying the condition.
