The size of the gestational sac depends on whether there are two or three figures

The size of the gestational sac is usually determined by looking at three figures, which represent the length, width, and height of the sac, and by using a formula, you are able to calculate the size of the sac as well as the gestational week of the pregnant woman.
The gestational sac is a sac-like structure formed by the continuous cell division after the sperm and egg combine to form a fertilized egg. The size of the gestational sac gives an idea of whether the fetus is growing normally or not.
The size of the gestational sac is observed through ultrasound. By measuring the length, width and height of the gestational sac and utilizing the relevant formula, i.e., (length+width+height)/3, the average internal diameter of the gestational sac is obtained. Accordingly, the gestational week of the pregnant woman is calculated by the formula (average internal diameter + 2.543)/0.7.
Pregnant women can use the three data to observe the growth of the fetus, and if there is any abnormality in the size of the gestational sac, they should consult a doctor in time for examination and carry out targeted treatment as early as possible.
