Usually adnexal cysts are ovarian cysts or tubal mesosalpinx cysts. Right adnexal cysts are treated surgically or not, depending on their size, nature, and rate of growth. Right adnexal cysts that are large and cause discomfort require surgery.
Usually, if the right adnexal cyst is small, not more than 5cm, and does not cause discomfort, regular checkups are sufficient. Some small physiologic cysts may disappear on their own with the onset of menstrual cycles.
However, if the cyst grows persistently, with a diameter of more than 5cm, and causes menstrual irregularities such as heavy, long-lasting and incomplete menstruation, and may be accompanied by abdominal pain and other symptoms, then surgical treatment is needed as soon as possible.
Patients who find right adnexal cysts are advised to consult a doctor in time for active treatment under the doctor’s guidance.
