What happens if you pick your nose too often?

Frequent nose picking can lead to damage to the nasal mucosa, triggering rhinitis, bleeding, bacterial infections and so on.
1. Rhinitis: frequent nose picking can damage the mucous membrane in the nasal cavity, which can easily lead to nasal inflammation and nasal congestion, clear water runny nose, itchy nose and other symptoms.
2. Bleeding: Nasal capillaries are vulnerable to injury, picking your nose frequently or with too much force can cause capillary rupture, resulting in nosebleeds.
3. Bacterial infection: fingers, especially nails, come into contact with a lot of germs every day, picking the nose whether bleeding or not, if the nasal mucosa is bruised, it is easy to get infected with germs. Therefore, frequent nose picking will cause bacterial infection in the nasal cavity, and in serious cases, cause intracranial infection.
