Can rabies be passed from breast milk to baby?

Rabies virus is generally not transmitted to babies through breast milk, but through the bite of a rabies-carrying animal or licking the skin with a wound. Rabies virus is a kind of neurotropic virus, although it is infectious to a certain extent, the source of infection is the animal carrying the rabies virus, not the person who is infected with the rabies virus, and the way of transmission is through the animal carrying the virus biting or licking or scratching the skin and mucous membranes, so that the virus invades the organism and infects it. Therefore, rabies virus is basically not transmitted to babies through breast milk. When a person is bitten by an animal that is prone to carry the rabies virus, such as a dog or cat, he or she should consult a doctor in time for treatment and therapy under his or her supervision.
