A 51 year old male, physical examination revealed a tumor in the immediate vicinity of the renal hilum (renal artery and renal vein) of the left kidney, about 3 cm in size. Today, Professor Shen Zhoujun, who has completed more than 510 cases of robot-assisted laparoscopic surgery and was one of the first to perform this advanced minimally invasive surgery in Shanghai and in the whole country, was assisted by Dr. Xie Xin, Nurse Hua and others, and completed it successfully: the tumor was completely resected, and the normal tissues of the kidney were preserved.
