Dampness and heat can be categorized into liver and gallbladder damp-heat (damp-heat evils stagnating in the liver and gallbladder) syndrome, bladder damp-heat syndrome, spleen and stomach damp-heat (spleen and stomach feeling damp-heat evils) syndrome and other syndromes, and the specific symptoms are as follows. 1. Damp-heat syndrome of liver and gallbladder: manifested as self-consciousness of coldness and heat, yellow eyes, yellow skin, anorexia, bitter taste in the mouth, pain in the ribs, nausea, vomiting, abdominal distension, abdominal pain, eczema, vaginal moisture, yellowish and foul-smelling tapes, itchiness, swelling and pain in the external genital organs, deep-colored urine, and yellowish and greasy fur on the tongue. 2. Damp-heat syndrome of the spleen and stomach: manifested by plumpness in the epigastrium (abdomen), poor appetite and dullness (lack of appetite, reduced food intake), heavy limbs (weakness and heaviness of the limbs), loose stools (stools are not shaped, and there is a feeling of not being drained after stools), or body heat (feeling hot all over the body, but not very hot to the touch of the skin), sweating and heat, not relieving thirst and not much to drink, with reddish tongue with yellow greasy coating, and so on. 3. Damp-heat bladder syndrome: manifested as fever, thirst, urine volume of yellow, cloudy, urgent urination, burning sensation during urination, frequency, painful urination, blood in the urine, gravel, or abdominal, lumbar distension and pain, red tongue, yellowish greasy moss, and so on.
