Massage Yinlingquan point can make the patient urinate freely, because Yinlingquan point has the role of regulating bladder tension. Experimental studies have shown that acupuncture at the Yinlingquan point has a modulating effect on cerebral cortex function. Strong stimulation mostly causes inhibitory processes; weak stimulation causes excitation in half and inhibition in half. In healthy people, weak stimulation mostly causes excitatory processes; while strong stimulation has less effect. For those with no or weak peristalsis of the descending colon and rectum, acupuncture of the Yinlingquan point can enhance peristalsis.
