Dangers of low fibrinogen

Fibrinogen is an important component of coagulation, mainly as coagulation factor I is involved in the main process of coagulation, when the value is low, it can induce bleeding in patients, there will be bleeding from brushing teeth or bleeding from wounds that do not coagulate, resulting in blood flow. Low fibrinogen is usually seen in severe hepatitis, acute liver damage, and long-term chronic liver disease. When liver damage persists, coagulation can be very seriously affected due to the liver’s inability or reduced synthesis of fibrinogen. When these conditions occur, the patient needs to be treated for the cause of the condition, and fibrinogen can be infused through blood products to improve coagulation.
