The causes of fetal dilation of the intestinal canal are multiple: first, it may be a congenital intestinal malformation. Secondly, there may be fetal fecal obstruction. Ultrasound is only an effective way to diagnose fetal dilation, but it is not a definitive diagnosis of intestinal malformation, so it cannot be used as an indication for absolute induction of labor. In case of fetal intestinal dilatation, genetic and chromosomal tests can be performed. If the test results are normal, follow up the 4D ultrasound for a period of time to observe the value of intestinal dilatation. If the dilatation does not continue, we can wait for the birth of the fetus and observe the condition of fetal stool, if the fetal stool is normal, it is generally considered normal. If the fetal stool is normal, it is generally considered normal. If abnormalities are detected in the genes and chromosomes, termination of pregnancy can be considered if necessary.
