Some patients may experience a high and a low clavicle. There are several reasons for this situation: First, it may be caused by long-term pressure on one side of the shoulder. For example, some patients are used to sleep on one side for a long time, which may cause excessive pressure on this side of the shoulder, and this side of the clavicle may gradually become shorter and more curved, and then the above symptoms may appear. For example, if the patient had a fracture or dislocation of the clavicle in the past, the deformity may remain here after recovery; third, it may be caused by the side of scoliosis. If the patient suffers from scoliosis, there may be bilateral asymmetry of the thorax or shoulders, which may lead to abnormalities of the clavicle; fourth, it may also be caused by the patient’s poor posture habits. For example, if the patient has a bad posture when sitting or standing, it can cause this asymmetry around the clavicle.
