Ligation as a common form of contraception is very effective and does not require an incision, and is basically done laparoscopically for bilateral tubal ligation. The surgery is very simple and relatively less damaging, but because it is minimally invasive, the cost may be relatively high, but the patient recovers well after the surgery. Besides ligation, condoms, pills, and IUDs are all good forms of birth control. If you do not plan to have children in the future, you can choose ligation as a form of contraception. If you want to have children in the near future, ligation is not recommended.
