Coughing for two months does not necessarily mean lung cancer, and a judgment can only be made after a thorough examination. Based on the accompanying symptoms and examination results of patients with prolonged cough, the cause of the disease can be further inferred. If a middle-aged person with a long history of smoking develops a cough with blood in the sputum, the possibility of lung cancer needs to be considered and further examined. If an occupying lesion in the lung is found through CT examination and cancer cells can be found by taking pathology, it is lung cancer. Of course, coughing for two months may also be tuberculosis, pneumonia, chronic bronchitis, allergic pneumonia, allergic rhinitis and other diseases, which may not always be lung cancer. To be on the safe side, patients are advised to go to the respiratory department of a hospital for systematic examination to rule out the possibility of lung cancer when they have coughing symptoms for a longer period of time. If the diagnosis of lung cancer is confirmed, early surgery should be performed.
