Before measuring the temperature, apply force to shake the thermometer temperature to below 36°C and put the head side of the thermometer into the deep axilla of the patient. Ask the patient to clamp the axilla with the upper arm to observe for 10 minutes, and take a reading after 10 minutes. The normal value of axillary temperature is 36-37°C. It is easier and safer to perform temperature testing and less prone to cross infection. Axillary temperature measurement is the most commonly used method of temperature measurement, the patient should be asked to rest quietly for about 15 minutes before measuring the temperature, check whether there is a thermogenic or cooling object placed in the axilla, and observe whether there is sweat in the axilla, should ensure that the axilla is dry, the temperature measured in a moist axilla will be lower than the actual body temperature.
